LibreOffice Asia Conference 2019, Tokyo: Call for Proposal is open
This is a pre-announcement (draft). The Official announcement will be published very soon.
LibreOffice Asia Committee calls for proposals of talks for
LibreOffice Asia Conference 2019, Tokyo held at the Nihonbashi Tokyo
Tower (Cyboze, Inc. Tokyo office) on May 25th (Sat) and 26th (Sun).
LibreOffice Asia Conference is an event to gather LibreOffice users and
contributors (such as development, translation, PR/marketing, quality
assurance, … etc.) in Asia to exchange and share experiences and
knowledge. In the conference we will discuss LibreOffice business such
as supporting and training, migrating LibreOffice and the true standard
format ODF, developing, and any other community activities around Asia
in it. Besides, we will also invite various guests includes some core
members of The Document Foundation, which is a charitable foundation and
the home of LibreOffice.
LibreOffice Kaigi, which is a local event for Japanese speakers, will be
held together with this event. So there will be English track and
Japanese track.
Any topics related to LibreOffice and ODF, such as introductions of
LibreOffice use-cases, technical deeper commentary of LibreOffice code
development, or small tips of LibreOffice usage and so on, are all
welcomed. All the talks will be 25 minutes including Q&A.
We are planning to offer travel cost support for the accepted speakers, including:
ï½° Tickets of flight or bullet trains (Note that the fee of local trains is NOT included)
ï½° Accommodations for two nights
Please don’t hesitate to send your proposals, even if you live far from Tokyo.
